Drinking quite nicely now. The oak has become integrated here and the wine showcases beautiful red fruits. Not as intense aromatically as the 14 Brulees served side by side, but a delicious example of Chaumes.

Top Vosnes night : More reserved with higher acidity such that most including myself thought this was a cooler vintage H-N. But there was a subtle cola note which the '02 later shared which was probably from the toastier oak that Méo used at the time. Surprisingly elegant for a Méo.

The nose is brooding and inward at first, before opening up slowly to reveal subtle notes of sour cherries and a whisper of toast. On the palate, the wine delivers a concentrated core of dark fruit that moves like a wheel with squared edges, advancing only upon some insistence rather than with a continuous motion. While the pronounced acidity brings lift and tension, the wine’s texture is unexpectedly rounded despite its broad structure. Compared to the 2002 vintage at the …

The trademark coffee and reductive notes shows (actually grew on me as the night went on). This is heavier and weightier vs the 02, which was lighter and purer in fruit. Again this has that rustic and feral touch to it. In my very limited experiences of drinking Meo, these pair of Brûlées tonight left a strong imprint on me. Very distinct and interesting, although I can’t immediately say this is something right up my alley.

Drinking at its apogee now with notes of mushroom, flora, graphite, mineral. Medium+ acidity and medium tannin. Long finish.

Magnificent, it's only just beginning to reveal itself after 15 years. It features notes of red and black fruits, leather, musk, and oriental spices. At least on par with the best Richebourgs of 2010. 99/100

So classic on nose, perfect weighty but spicy nose, straddling red and black fruit, not quite as lean as the 2008, but closer to it than the 2009 in nature. More close resemblance to the '08 than the others in this flight. Firm structure and nice bright acid. Long finish. Baking spices. Bit of leafiness. Gorgeous.

It keeps evolving with VR cherry fruits, violet and tea-like flavours. Still fairly closed, with plenty of VR fruits in reserve. It is slightly disjointed at the moment, but the structure is evident for aging.

Still early and more reserved than many 2010s. Having said that, this provides pleasure with its silky fruit and intense baking spice, while also being structured and reserved enough to remind you of the meaningful upside from here.

Tasted next to 2005 Mo Nuits Boudots. Medium red. Scents of fennel, cranberry, and earth. Medium to lighter body. Lean and slightly tart black fruit, anise, very mineral, moderate tannins. Impressive cut but this didnt gain much flesh or texture with 3 hours of air. This could well be in the midst of a cranky, unyielding phase, but I was disappointed with it nonetheless, especially in comparison to the Older Nuits. Curious to see what happens over time.

Beautiful VR Brulees with good transparency and weightless power. In the context of a 2010, I expect more weight on it. Would love to revisit it again in 2-3 year. 93++

Meo-Camuzet Vosne-Romanee Les Chaumes 2010. Servert altfor kald, men vokser seg sakte men sikkert til en nydelig vin. Vakkert parfymert med lys rd frukt og streif av spice. Elegant og sexy. Slank og syrlig munnflelse. Leken i anslaget. Syrefrisk med pen lett klokkeren frukt. Vektls intensitet. Drikker bra n. Helt silkefre - akkurat slik du nsker dine rde Burgundere. Lettbeint finish med solid lengde. Svrt pene tanniner. Ikke s ofte Meo dukker opp - synd, for dette er deilig. 94p

Its profile is a bit dark to me which is full of dark fruit, violet, earthy and spices. Body is full and heavy with silky tannins and long finish. Good bottle but just not the aromas that I like from burgundy.

Weekend in Michigan with Wine; 8/5/2023-8/6/2023 (Asian Spice House - Buchanan MI) : Tasted double blind. Spice and concentration immediately made me think this Vosne 1er Cru from a very balanced vintage, and then I was thinking this destemmed fruit when another great taster called this as Méo-Camuzet. Complex and savory spice with so much red fruit, this comes across as fully harmonious and elegant, with a charming start and bigger finish. Probably some further upside, and will drink wonderfully …

Meo Camuzet Dinner (ST Home) : An ex St. Louis bottle. A compelling and balanced wine. While for some friends, this bottle did not stand out within the broader line up, I found it to be one of the most balanced and complete wines.

An extraordinary wine with incredible perfume of ripe red fruits and spice, on the palate it is structured (slightly fuller body than I expected for a 2010), with very fine tannin and perfect balance. At this stage it is still dominated by the secondary notes but it is just a matter of time until the tertiary aspect shows. It has all the making required to be standing with the greatest brulees ever made.

Blind, decanted. Prominent yet dark VR spice with violet aromatics, polished, transparent, pure, linear. Excellent vintage quality and volume. There is some woodiness and Grand Cru structure that guided my initial guess towards Flagey. Eugenie GE 2010? After reveal, the VR cherry fruit becomes more prominent, and indeed some heat texture characteristic of the terroir. Such intensity and drive at its core! Stunning wine, both Meo tonight sang very very high. 96

Side by side 2010 Dujac Vosne Beaux Monts and 2010 Meo Camuzet Vosne Brulees. Both represented themselves well, though both will be better in 5-10 more years. It was a good comparison of both the terroir of the two vineyards as well as the style of the producer. The Beaux Monts was more delicate, almost lacy but with ample red fruit flavor along with lift from he Dujac stems. The Brûlées was more concentrated, darker in color, more brooding black …

The 2010 Meo Camuzet Vosne Romanee Chaumes is stepping into its drinking window. Clean and sleek array of red cherries and low pitched wood spices. Classic red burgundy balanced tannins and refreshing acidity. Chaumes remains one of the lightest Premier Cru, yet in a good vintage, it can outperform. (89/100)

Nez sur les fruits noirs. Envoutant...

Sultry and sweet, this was delightful to drink. Served blind I had guessed Boudots as it didn't quite have the depth I would expect from Brulees. Would guess that this gains depth with time, and the oak will better integrate, but it's no crime to pop a bottle now.

清新讨喜的樱桃汁,甘草、紫罗兰和一点中草药的气息。和悬浮在高空般的轻盈香气一致,入口的层次和结构都略显单薄,但是单宁细腻成熟,酸度作为支柱也力度十足。

Very fresh and deep, with notes of black cherry, violets, beef stock and earth. It was rich and creamy with an intense heart and a fine, floral finish that went on and on. Delicious now but at least a decade away from its apogee.

Cherry and cinnamon, very tight, very linear right now. Needs probably 10 years or more. When is this drinkable the question gets asked? Apparently the 2005 is drinking well according to Bruce Neyers and in comparison the 1996 La Tache is just slight "more than ready". But he also likes to drink his wines just a touch early.

Sweet wild strawberries, raspberry and other red fruit. A nice fresh love structured wine. It does not feel like it is as much wood here as it is other wines from this domaine this year.

Vosne Millésime - Noblesse des Clos Vougeot - Les Grands Jours de Bourgogne (Château du Clos de Vougeot) : Tasting. Superb array of red fruit aromas with alluring spicebox including licorice, clove and allspice. Vibrant and incredibly dense fruit on palate, with excellent elongating structure. An excellent Brulees with 94-96 point potential for me today.
