Bought these to drink with a firefighter buddy and for general daily drinker purposes, and it's actually a little better than I expected. Deep purplish ruby color. Aromas of tar and smoke jump out of the glass, with darker boysenberry, blackberry, and blueberry fruit and walnut cruising underneath. Medium body, acid, and finish, with a mixed dark berry pie vibe going on, maybe with a little lemon and ginger in the recipe. Getting some walnut and dark chocolate as well. …

Tastes a little like fake oak but I am not sure I care, kinda hangs together anywhere. Or at least anyway.

Family Winemaker's 27th Annual Tasting San Francisco, a blend of Zinfandel Carignane, Alicante bouschet, Petite Syrah, and Cabernet sauvignon, Nose of dark fruit, floral notes, black berry and red cherry, with lots of allspice, same on the palate, big body, a red blend with lots of flavor, mouth filling fruit, better in 2 years, tasty, and a long, flavorful finish.

Delicious zinfandel blend, spicy and with a lighter note underneath that.
