OK, this doesn’t happen very often. A clearly flawed wine that was still a very decent drink. It was cloudy (there are other reports of this one, curiously all purchased from Waitrose) but nonetheless the cloudy amber colour yielded a med(+) intensity nose that was reminiscent of a PX sherry. Pronounced on the palate, a full body, sweet (not up to PX levels) with nuts, figs, raisins, caramel are there too. The finish was very long. Medium acidity. I gather …

This was cloudy, especially towards the end of the 375ml bottle, and clearly flawed. Reasonably drinkable at first but we didn't finish it.

Not sure if this was a good bottle, but it was 'muddy' and that can't be right, the nose was figs and in the mouth figs raisins but a coarse rather than smooth texture plus to much alcohol coming through, either a poor bottle or a poor wine, the nearest comparison would be a cheap poor quality tawny port.

Notes of hazelnuts, fig, honey. Round, not cloying, but also not particularly vibrant on the palate, medium length. 87-89
