Something off here, slight fizz on PPP and pour better as night went on but not very good

I enjoyed this more than the last bottle--all the elements seemed more integrated, and the heat felt a bit lower.

Dark, very powerful--14.5%, says the bottle. Tar, raisin/prune, thyme, dried cherry notes. Good with food.

Very nice CdR-V, but it needs some serious decanting time. Give it a couple of hours in the decanter and you'll be greeted with a big fruit profile, notably plum and black raspberry and a bit of pepper on the finish. Noteworthy dose of acidity, even after a few hours of decanting. Good to drink now, but will get better if you have the patience to wait a few years.

Raisiny on first pour, not so much the next night. An acidic, hot, spicy finish. Awkward.

Fantastic wine. Needed a little air to open out, but then became a perfect mixture of deliciously lively red fruit, nice peppery overtones, and medium tannin. Fantastic QPR, sad that I only got two bottles.
