Deep red color. aromas of black cherries , plums and underbrush. Ripe, full bodied rust in the mouth with very good depth and length and well-integrated tannins and oak. Very supple and full on the palate. Still young but drinking well and an excellent QPR. 92.

Opened to breathe for 2-3h. Delightful oaky, musty nose, hints of vanilla too. On the palate plush red and black fruit, mineral, oak, and an acid finish. Mom enjoyed this super tuscan. Tonight with shrimp and basil in Thai red curry. 91/92

In my cellar since release, decanted for about an hour before drinking over dinner of grilled steaks. This Cab-Sangio blend has a deep dark garnet color. The nose is light and floral along with red fruit and some herbal elements. The wine has a great texture with little tannin, good acidity and a chewiness and density that is quite appealing. Crimson coloured without a strong aroma. The wine was full-bodied and velvety. Balanced with medium acidity. The finish was reasonably long. Typical flavour profile for this blend.

The wine looks inky colored. The legs are slow. There is no sediment in the bottle. It smells like mushroom, soy sauce, cedar and chocolate. It tastes like black currant (cassis), lemon, strawberry jam, mineral and flint. The body is full. The wine has fleshy texture. The wine finishes long. The wine has medium acidity.

PnD 2/3 of the bottle let air for 2hrs. Dark garnet with a hint of purple with garnet rim. Bing cherry Morello cherry dried cherry herbs and earth on the nose. Medium weight with ripe cherry skin and black tea tannins. Cherry liquor amoro black tea rosemary and cocoa on the palate. Ripe but very dry with lingering cherry and herbal finish. Big complex and elegant. Day2. Mellowed out better integration lets flavours and complexity really show through. +2pts.

Si je compare avec mes notes du 2004, il semble déjà plus approchable et intégré! Nez charmeur sur les épices et les fruit noirs. En bouche, c'est de la soie, très coulant avec un beau fruit croquant, des cerises noires et de l'anis avec un peu de boisé, très beau. Les tannins sont assez fins et la finale bien longue. Délicieux.

PnD let air for 30 mins drank over 2 hrs. Purple crimson saturated with violet rim. Lilac fennel and cherry on the nose. Medium weight with nicely burred tannins. Cherry cassis plums blueberry pie cigar box on the palate. Cab really dominates at first comes together very nicely with time. Leave the last bottle for a couple more years.

Nez très enjôleur,charmeur d'une grande finesse, je ne l'est juste pas assez carafé le vin est jeune mais il se boit très bien. Les tanins sont comme du velours ont ne s'en lasse pas. La bouche suit le nez un vin d'une grande qualité

Brought up from cellar to warm standing up for several hours, then popped and poured an initial taste to judge need for decant. Let breathe in the bottle for a full day. Dark purple in the glass with lot of legs. Spicy cinnamon and berry - strawberry? - on the nose. Really tasty on the palate with a deliciously smooth mouthfeel; the berry fruits are very strong and the spice returns on the back of the palate. Nice long finish …

Dense and focused with black cherry, spicy oak, licorice and crushed floral. Full-bodied and well structured with a long finish. You can get away with drinking this now but if you can wait another 2-3 years you will be much better off. The 2007 Gagliole is a blend of 90% Sangiovese and 10% Cabernet Sauvignon and aged a minimum 14 months in french oak barriques, 70% new wood, 30% second or third passage. (Drink 2012 - 2021) - JD
