pale to light yellow. Nose: Lemon, pineapple (faint) slight mineral. Acidic and tame. Confirm lemon on the pallet and minerality. Very good with food (chicken and veggies). Not outstandng, but very good - with the food.

9:00PM dilemma: which random, new Albarino to pick between 2 possibilities at the tiny, last chance, iffy wine shop. This wasn’t the right call: acid punch, almost sparkling mouthfeel on the tongue, very little fruit—none of the tropical softness I drink albarino for, and then more acid (not even enough character to call it pear-like). Hell, maybe they were both lousy. At any rate, given my expectations for albarino, this wine is a bit like sex with an inflatable doll.
