Not a lot of fruit left but it’s not DOA. This is hanging on but drink em if you got em.

This is supposed to be over the hill, but I opened one of my last bottles of it tonight and it was gorgeous. Full blackberry flavor, smooth and not thin at all. A huge steal for the price and a real treat with a weekday dinner.

Ugh, cooked fruit, dense, muddled, and liquorlike.

No nearly as good as the previous bottle. Seemed a bit too acidic. Could have been the food -- maybe a bit too spicey.

Opened a bottle last night and it was nice right off the bat, lots of raspberry fruit characteristic of Grenache, low acidity. Not highly refined and not "big" in a California cabernet sort of way, but very full fruit profile and very pleasant for the price.

For me and my drinking companions, this was an excellent bottle. Very well balanced, dry without any bitterness or excessive acidity. Decent fruit. All in all quite good.

Perhaps this was better in youth, as Jon (Garagiste) suggests, but it is pretty rocking right now for an 8.99 wine. Was good QPR at 14.

I seem to be enjoying this much more than others. Yes, not enough acid and a short finish. But while it is on my palate, it's very nice. And let's be real here. It only cost $13.99 Raspberry, black cherry, and something that makes it taste almost salty. Underneath something herbaceous and rooty like fennel bulb.

Light pepper notes over big raspberry, bit of heat. Big heavy chocolate berries. Clipped finish. Fruit does have some tartness to it. Decent wine but nothing more.

Recent Garagiste; 1/10/2008-3/6/2008 : Slight note of bret in the background. Beef blood and cassis initially. Plum and raspberry palate but not very expressive or complex. Heavy and very flabby. This suffers from a lack of acidity in a fairly strong way and makes the finish short and clipped. A quaffer just don't expect a lot. A significant step down from the '05.

An 'in your face' fruit forward wine. This possesses the elements of a solid 'drinking' wine. Not something for serious contemplation. Enjoyable.
