Deep red color. Aromas of black cherries, prunes, dark chocolate and tobacco. Ripe, full-bodied fruit in the mouth with very good depth and length. This wine was delicious with a dark chocolate dessert but lacked freshness and exhibited a touch of oxidation in the finish. Drink up!

Tried this wine is a wine tasting at Grill 41 N. in Newport Rhode Island. Very nice wine. Smooth on the taste smooth on the finish. This is the nicest wine of the wines I previously previously. tasted highly recommended.

Aromas of salted meats, blueberry, cassis, baking spices, secondary chocolate, coffee. Smoked sausage, turns into jam as time goes by. On the palate it’s almost perfect, big flavors, full body: prunes, salted chocolate covered cherries, jammy, a bit too too sweet. Easy to drink the whole bottle.

Full, intense, concentrated, very off dry, off balance.

Bright, fresh, ripe. Vivid acidity, raspberry jam, spicy and juicy. Some tannins still there, soft and fine. The alcohol is definitely present, but a cool serving temperature keeps it fairly tame. This is terrific juice at its apogee, a joy to drink.

Delicious. Opulent nose of red fruits. Ruby color. Fresh and round fruit flavor, slightly tart at first, then exploding with fruity intensity, to a softer medium long finish. Well balanced and quite enjoyable. Tastes young. Decanted.

Fabulous wine from a difficult vintage. Fantastic QPR. In a league with Dal Forno Romano and Quintarelli for much less $.

Deep Ruby. On the nose, black cherries, vanilla, violets, blueberries. On the palate a medium plus bodied, medium tannins, medium acidity wine, with high alcohol. Palate - black cherries, vanilla, dried cherries, and prunes, some toast. Medium plus finish. Suggest to drink now or hold only a few more years.

Ms C's Birthday Celebration (Extra Space) : Popped and poured. Drank over 2.5 hours. Appearance is clear, medium intensity, dark ruby colour. Legs. Nose is clean, pronounced intensity, with aromas of sweet spice, confectionery, fruit cake, lacquer, slight florality with more air. Developing. On the palate, almost off-dry, medium+ acidity, high alcoholic heat (16%), mouth-coating high tannins, full body. Pronounced flavour intensity, with flavours of sweet spices, confectionery, fruit cake, raisins, prunes, boysenberry jam, figs. Long finish. Very good quality …

Friday Night Double Blind Tasting $40+ (Bin 75) : Dark dense core, some chocolate, crimson rim; sassafras, sweet, tobacco, raisin, apassimento, whiskey barrel, complex, obviously a rich wine but there is a certain lightness to the nose; heavy and super rich on the palate, low acid, towards one end of the spectrum, finishes with comforting brandy warmth and sweetness; very good, becoming more appreciative of this style.

Really fresh and fruity. This is drinking well right now. If i could get my hands on this now I would get a couple of bottles. Very expressive in the nose and palate.

Best of a 3 a amarone tasting. Prune, raisin fig flavors with great balance and not too hot. Bested more pricey selections.

I already wish I had more of this one. Rich, inky in color with deep, pure fruit. Nicely balanced with sweet prune, blackberry and pure fruit flavors. A definite sweet, extracted flavor with an outstanding delivery on the palate. I sense this one had years ahead of it but I couldn't keep my hands off it.

A wonderful luscious Amarone. Had lots of fruits and jam, fig and and possibly some sugar.. Was balanced on the fruits and tannins. Should have decanted for a while. Could have used a few more years in the cellar..

Inauspicious nose, but bursting with liquor, molasses, dry figs and raisins on the mouth. Absolutely delicious.

Just a silky wine with no flaws or hard edges. Balance keeps coming to mind. Needed an hours air but then it was extremely perfumed and mouthfilling with a 60 second finish. A bit on the feminine side for an Amarone but not in a bad way.

Decanted two hours. Aromas show dried figs, tomatoes, quite a bit of spice, light twigs and some gravel. Palate is luscious and creamy. Feels like a candied treat. slightly sweet but oh so smooth and graceful. Really yummy here. Intense spice and dried cherries, figs, and slightly puckering tannins. You can tell there's alcohol here, sure, but for a 16% wine it's barely noticeable. Definitely better now than when opened.

Pruney, chocolate nose. Rich palate of prune, plum, chocolate, toffee, coffee, balsamic. Savory & delicious. Slightly short finish.

Raisins and figs on the nose, but less of the characteristic Amarone sweetness on the palate than I expected. The 16% alcohol content is unmistakeable, but seems to be overpowering the rest.

Still very dark ruby, it has black fruit, stewed prunes, tar and leather notes. Very ripe and mildly raisiny, w/ some residual sugar? . Better w/ food than as a sipper. Obvious complexity, fascinating stuff, but not exactly my cup of tea
