Seems more than just 2 years younger than the 1994, with early suggestions of diesel but still dominated by plenty of fresh apple and the uncompromising acidity of the year.

Day one: Strongly mineral nose with a whiff of SO2 and some lime zest and light diesel, plus a faint suggestion of caramel. Nice zingy acidity on the palate with applesauce, lime zest and again that subtle bit of caramel. Off-dry, but the sensation of sweetness here is pretty low. While tasty and compulsively drinkable, it's only beginning to develop secondary flavors. Day three: no trace of sulfur, and the nose is definitely rocking more of that wonderful diesel perfume. …
