Pop and pour. It smells like blackberry. It tastes like cassis, plum and espresso. The flavor is truly superb. Like the 2014 Château d'Aiguilhe, it's excellent value for money. I would buy it again.

PnP. This started off nicely and just kept getting better, with the last glass being the best. A bit of toasted oak was prominent at first but gradually merged with the dark fruit. Awesome QPR at $20.

Dark fruits, black licorice, cedar - full bodied and tannic. Hint of leather. Great value. Must buy more.

Terreux et animal. Sous-bois et mures avec des herbes. Pas très long et asséchant. Correct,

Very modern style of Bordeaux. More ripe and fruity, less leathery/earthy. Classicists look elsewhere.

Well built, with a wall of tannins that will give way in a year or two. This is a black-fruited beauty with a future---and a real value.

Dark berry fruit with subtle notes of herbs/pine cones. The palate is full-bodied and rich with fine tannins, nice freshness and good length. 13.5 abv. Solid QPR.

52% Cabernet Sauvignon, 36% Merlot 8% Cabernet Franc and 4% Petit Verdot 13.5% abv Lovely estate. Medium body, deep garnet colour. Intense but very delicate aroma of black and blue fruits, sweet tobacco, spices’ box and flowers . Dominant black currants, black cherry and prune palate following by dark chocolate, earthy notes, fresh wild berries’ acidity, silky tannins and rounding finish of good length. Complex and bold but charm and balanced wine, no worse than 2016. Food friendly, well pairing …

For $16.99 I had to try one. Now I need to go back to Costco and grab a dozen more. Unsurprisingly, it's not quite there for my palate in this moment, but it's not far away, either. A great cellar defender that I'll drink from 2025-2035 with pleasure. Easily recommended+

Black licorice and cedar wood on the nose. Showing some ripe black fruit after opening up too. The palate is a little tight even after a several hour decant. Dominated with tobacco but gives way to a blueberry compote. Lighter than expected and very enjoyable.

Was hoping to like this more than I did, quite austere in nature, with notes of cherries, dark chocolate, animal fat? , bark, black pepper and green pepper. The palate was rustic with red fruit, spice and sandalwood, a touch of dark chocolate, fine grainy tannins, yet it felt a little messy with the fruit not front and centre and maybe a little too much wood for the quality of fruit, quite spicy and a little hot on the finish. …

Nose is somewhat menthol. Palate: fruit forward (black cherry driven) and grippy tannins. Curious to see how it evolves. Approachable now but certainly more enjoyable from 2025+. Very good QPR - only GBP19 but punches above its weight when comparing versus Cantermele / Belgrave.

Cherries, currants and cocoa are on the nose and also in the core of this wine. Medium-bodied, soft and vibrant, with a touch of chalk and oak that comes through in the mid-palate and in the fruit-filled endnote. You can open and enjoy this with pleasure on release, with give it a bit of age as well. Drink from 2024-2038.

Showing deep color, leather, cedar, tree leaf, spice and red currants pop right off the bat, this wine is medium/full-bodied with sandy, soft tannins and freshness in the finish. This should show well with just a few years of age. 89-91

Airoldi - Bordeaux En Primeur 2020 (Quay Restaurant, International Passenger Terminal, Sydney) : Ahh, polished oak, pyrazine, blackcurrant, cedar, slight plum/cream. More of the same on the palate, juicy, fleshy, slightly unripe but lovely for me.

Decent nose. Ripe red and black fruits and feels like it has some depth (a little plump). Good energy, has some density and lift, there is a sappy edge. Good intensity, lean in parts. Very 2020.
