The name may be different but the wine remains as dependable and consistent as ever. So fresh and energetic, structured yet accessible, with tongue-staining tannin and a plump mouthful of dark fruit, cassis, black currants, bright spices, and sweet oak. Just an all out tasty drop.

Very dark red/purple color. Drank a glass off the list at Mancini's over an hour. This is the rebranded flagship wine from Louis Martini, the always reliable and affordable, Sonoma County Cabernet Sauvignon. The "Prati" name, meaning "meadow" in Italian, is a nod to the Italian roots of the wine-making tradition in Sonoma and the terrain of the vineyards.
