Black, shy nose, blackberry and olives , concentrated tart hard-edged tannins at cork pull - left uncorked overnight - blackberries took on a sense of sweetness and the tannic signature smoothed a bit as the wine drank more velvety for breakfast.

I decanted this for about 6+ hours before drinking. This is clearly young, but it’s classic and expressive with balanced tones of black cherries, raspberries, crushed rocks, black olives, violets, crushed flowers, licorice, incense, and fresh leather notes. The fruit shows some warmth, but it’s far from being too ripe or overdone. The Full bodied feel is youthful and balanced with crisp, medium+ acidity and chewy, high tannins. This does need some air right now to drink. It’s also really …

Popped and poured. Maybe just shy right now. Well-made, pleasant wine. Great balance , but everything is muted. The nose is withdrawn . I get some blue fruits , and a touch of oak. That’s about it. Paired with a vegetable stew, heavy on tomato sauce . Medium tannins , medium acidity . Long finish .

Bludorn Restaurant. Double splash decant. Fresh dark fruits with pepper and meats. Clearly early and yet approachable now. At $198.00 on the menu this was good not great for the price.

La Tablee: Farming Revolution in the Northern Rhone (Il Buco Alimentari & Vineria) : This was just lovely. It's clearly much too young, but still lovely. Very clean and fresh and bright. Black fruits. Just a touch of game. Very young and kindof coats the mouth, but with a nice structure. Ripe blackberry. It is really nice and a wine I can't wait to have in 20+ years.

(at Peppervine - Charlotte) Terrific recommendation. This juicy, blackberry, meat and mineral infused Cote Rotie was an absolute delight to drink this evening. Classic leaning despite the ripe fruit preserve profile. This should provide pleasure for years. I like it! (93)

A bit rustic, meant in a good way, dried flowers, dark fruit, tar and iron notes. Very tight and structured. Needs a bit of aging, but this one can be enjoyed relatively young. At Bistro Serine in Ampuis.

The wine looks violet colored. The legs are slow. It smells like wet wood, forest floor and blackberry. It tastes like cherry and black pepper. The body is medium. The wine has coarse texture. The wine finishes long. The wine has medium acidity.
