Now fully mature with a sweet patisserie nose of vanilla, brown sugar, baked apple and whiff of coconut and creme brûlée-like sweetness. Rich, powerful full-bodied Champagne that you can still enjoy for its sweetness. This went great with the cheeses that we paired with it.

Honeyed nose and palate, nougat, maltose. Rich texture, still decent acidity but starting to fray at the edges, bruised apples. Already downhill but enjoyable nonetheless.

94-95- loving this for it's richness intact. more developed nose of brown sugar, slightly burnt pie crust, almond shavings, tasting partner pointed out grilled pineapple which does make sense, here. Medium+ body and as this opens up, I would say closer to full-bodied Champagne. Mouth coating finish, terrific flavor authority in a more oxidative, powerful style.

Deep straw to light golden color; bruised apple, pie crust and grilled pineapple reveal a clearly oxidative style; rich, honeyed and long. Not for the faint of heart. Drink up.

This bottle and the first bottle I drank are both past their prime imo. Sour apple and caramel and very dark yellow. Perhaps the 3 bottles I purchased were not stored well before I got them. Or maybe it's just over-the-hill at 20+ years old.

(BYO Blind tasting) Full and mature nose. Dried ripe orchard fruit. Apple, nuts and hints of white flowers. Lacking some complexity. Fullish, austere and developed palate. High acidity and balanced impression. But lacks some complexity. Very ripe apply with a refreshing note of orange. But a bit too developed. Would not hold on to this.

Definitely has personality -- maybe a shade too much personality? Regardless, an enjoyable bottle. Dark straw color approaching tawny. Sherry-like nose extends to the palate, with some raisin and incense notes. Grew on me as I got used to it. Nice, soulful bubbly for a winter's night.

very mature and somewhat oxidised style. almost a light amber colour in the glass with very faint bubble action. it takes some time for the nose to open up and reveal notes of sourdough, very ripe red apples, and dried chamomile. initial taste is on the yeasty and tart side, but as this slowly mellows it gives way to notes of ginger, pie crust, and drying apricots. creamy texture in the mouth, sharp acidity, and moderately long finish with a …

Oxidized, very developed, honey, truffle. Delicious but certainly a personal preference. Drink up.

This was deep and penetrating with carmelized brown sugar, marzipan, bruised orchard fruits; golden apple and a strong toffee sweetness. Dense and sweet in the mouth with good acidity and appropriate bubbles. 93-94. Nicely evolved and definitively in a more powerful style.

Light golden color; toffee, brown sugar, almond paste, praline, baked apple turnover, dried apricot; fully mature and quite rich. A super nice creamy finish. For those who like mature Champagne.

I didn't take many notes. Had this with lunch at Bell's. Nougat, ripe yellow apple, pear, baking spice. Nice balance. Great wine in a great spot.

Drinking very nicely now, but is definitely showing some lacquering/sherry oxidative tones. Acidity is still present, nice fruit. In line with the prior comment, I wouldn't keep it more than another year or so as it's edging into old age.

Incredibly nutty, slightly oxidative, good acidity. This bottle seemed as advanced as I'd want a champagne to be.

Much, much better showing than in the latter part of last year; medium golden color not the only hint of age; loads of suds, zip and energy throughout; baked apple, brioche, chalk and dried fruit on nose and palate. Mature yet surprisingly fresh. In a nice spot right now. The most value priced vintage Champagne?

Enjoyed over two nights. It is on the decline but still very nice. Yellow, copper color, fine just-sufficient bubbles. Caramelized bruised, fallen apple, baked pear and apple. Long, enjoyable finish. Note: This was purchased a couple years ago as an offer for the BdB, but the retailer received this wine instead and requested to substitute, which I agreed to.

Medium golden color; less classic aged Champagne in style and more bluntly one-dimensional and heavily gingered (no offense to redheads) nose and palate. Youthful vigor and beading. No identifiable way of determining when disgorged, though it had an ID number but nothing on their website to address that.

A very surprising wine. We had about one year ago and were not impressed. Something changed. Rich and velvety. Has the slightly oxidized flavor which I love. Have one more bottle, which I look forward to drinking. My Wife put in drink an go fridge, maybe a mistake. Not sure what he is talking about: Wife NEVER makes a mistake!

70% Chardonnay and 30% Pinot Meunier. Very special and I am not sure if I like it. Some medicine and spiciness in the bouquet. Soft tart citrus. No score.
