Oh yum. Good acidity, great restrained fruit, smoke. This is probably not as full throated as it once was, but is aging well and a treat to drink.

Dark with coffee, dirt, burnt oak. Love the flavor profile. Has an umami mushroom flavor that is absolutely delicious. However the fruit is fading a bit into the acid which is making me think it's becoming time to drink this.

Opened one hour in advance. Sharp aroma of red fruit and burnt match. Clean mix of flavors, including cherry, earth, tobacco. Leafy tobacco finish. Much better than I made it sound above, this is well integrated with rich, interesting flavors, a solid backbone, and some complexity. Still vibrant, may continue to develop.

Good full fruit with a tight edge. Dark, earthy, full bodied with black acid. Mineral and just a little floral quality. Lots of tobacco, smoke, dark fruit. Really nice. Drinking well, no rush.

Good ripeness and a sturdy structure, this isn't quite as racy as the best vintages but it has good breadth volume and is extremely well-balanced. Develops well over the course of a few days.

Contentious opinions at our blind tasting. Some of us found the wine's nose of earthy cellar bland, its taste characterless, and its finish too short. Others thought it the best of the evening, a terroir driven food wine, with an earthy, interesting character.

Round deep dark fruit with black cherry and coffee grounds. Silky, smokey. Very nice, easy to drink, easy to like. B
