Pretty classy. Delicate without being light weight. Oak not overbearing but could stand being more integrated. Nice length for the pedigree. Will likely get better with a couple more years under its belt.

This continues to be a lovelyl Southern White Burgundy with good fruit, lively acidity, and that toasty oats character of some white burgundies as they begin to age. Wine has been very consistent across time and appears to have at a least a couple of years to go. Served at a restaurant in Tyler with my mother, wife, and son. Very pleasant time, meal and wines. Served before a 2004 Confession (St. Emilion).

Why is every thing from Girardin VV? Color is clear, medium and lemon. Nose is clean, medium, youthful (developing?), primary fruit is the dominate on the nose but with secondary herbal and hazenut notes. I know its young but it does show some development. Palate is dry, with medium acidity (maybe a touch low for 08). Alcohol is medium (not noticeable), body is medium and flavor intensity is medium +. The flavor rides to a medium + finish. DAY 1 there was a quite a quick slap oak across the face. day 2 this has settled way in. high toned citrus. Piercing lushness.

Lemon and high toned. Sweetly fruited on the finish. A little bit imprecise on the back of the palate. Quite good on day two, just fine at $24.
