Spring Willamette Valley Trip; 3/6/2026-3/7/2026 : Light ruby. Stony, dark fruit aromas. Medium weight. In the mouth, blue fruit, citrus, and spice. Lightly smoky. Excellent sweetness and texture, earthy but ripe tannins, moderate length. This really held its own next to a Jadot Clos Vougeot, and some even picked it as the Clos Vougeot since we tasted these 2 wines blind.

Really great Showing from Resonance! Still taste young after 10 years. Ruby in color. On the nose getting black cherry, berries, florals. Medium long finish.

Nose: Balanced fresh red fruit, earthy petrichor. Palate: Light dried cranberry, dried cherry, fresh sandy tannins with a bit of grit.

I didn’t enjoy this as much today as in 2023. Not really getting any primary fruits just earth, tar and maybe game. Needs drinking up, and as there are 14 bottles left in the cellar need to get a move on…..

Very elegant, seems like it’s at its peak right now. Drank it with extended family with minestrone, with which it paired surprisingly well. We’ll likely finish the bottle with Thanksgiving dinner, where it should also be a very nice match.

Strong fruity aroma of black cherry, blue berries, black berries, as well as sweet spice on first pour. Matching flavours of black cherry, blueberries, black berries, followed by lingering cloves, a hint of oak and subtle trace of earthiness. The wine is medium+ bodied, with smooth low tannin, medium-low acidity and a nice long finish. Well-balanced, harmonious and mellow on the palate. Classy, approachable and enjoyable. Drank without decanting.

I enjoyed this a little more than in June last year. I’m still struggling with the 90+ ratings. Good wine, medium bodied, medium ruby. Redcurrant, red cherry nose/palate. Personally I don’t believe that this will improve further.

Seemed to bit a bit oxidized, maybe a bad bottle. Previous bottles were much better

Medium ruby. Redcurrants, raspberry nose. Similar palate with some herbal flavours. This is pleasant enough, but surprised at all the 90+ ratings, maybe a dodgy bottle? I will revisit in a few months.

Best Pinot Noir I’ve tasted in a long time. Absolutely wonderful with lots of fruit, very fine and refined tannins, a medium-long finish. Opened an hour before drinking.

Thanksgiving Weekend in Willamette; 11/25/2021-11/27/2021 (Willamette Valley OR) : Tasted at the winery. Ripe black fruit with spice and mint notes, showing wonderful balance and depth. Very good now, with further upside. This wine has harmonized very nicely, and I liked this much more today vs when tasted at Jadot in Beaune in 2018.

Clear, full-ruby color, lightening at the edges. Aromatics of fig jam & braised pomegranate, tea leaf, sandalwood, hints of allspice, hibiscus and brown mushroom. Richly layered flavors on the palate, showing succulent black fig fruit over a depth of clove and anise spices, along with hints of earth and stone. Light to medium in body, with fleshy density, bright, stark acidity and grainy tannins, finishing with moderate length. More angular with air. Feels a little disjointed but all the components …

Visiting Vancouver and the Willamette Valley; 8/26/2021-8/30/2021 (Vancouver, WA and the Willamette Valley, OR) : Big and rich, this deep ruby Pinot delivers an abundance of dark bramble fruit, spiced cherry, jasmine, black olive tapenade and leather on both the nose and palate. Medium-to-full-bodied, seamlessly alcoholic (13.5%) and with good lift, it buttresses the flavors with plentiful fine-grained tannins and a prudent amount of wood. Layered on the mid-palate and finishing with impressive length, this is a standout in the …

Drank perfectly with duck breast with lingonberry sauce. Upon opening, it didn’t have much nose or taste but over the next half hour it opened up beautifully!

Really good, not quite as big a wine as I expected for a 2015, which actually worked out well for pairing with pork loin. Dried black cherry with fennel. Should age well for years.

Smokey, deep, dark, a bit clumsy and overdone. Not bad, but a disappointment.
