Viña Requingua Cabernet Sauvignon Toro de Piedra

Boysenberry black current and cinnamon with red pepper on the nose. Not much fruit on the palate. This wine was more of an earthy dark wine. It has some good characteristics but not my style. The mod palate and the finish were huge in the tobacco and black pepper area. Overall just ok but better than a table wine. This wine would be very good with a spicy rib eye.

100% cabernet sauvignon, hand-harvested and carefully selected. The wine was fermented with selected yeasts in stainless steel vats before ageing in French and American oak for eight months. This has a very closed, very deep, rich blackcurrant fruit nose with some roasted notes. It has a good, clean palate and a nice weight. Big and spicy on the finish. Good stuff all round and not overdone. Very Good+.
