Domaine Amiot-Servelle Morey St. Denis

Drank over 2 days and last was the best. Dark fruit and the French Pinot is clearly here. A walk in a forest in October…Not a big wine , but what one can except for the price nowadays…. Still OK

Medium to dark translucent red. Better on the nose than on the palate, it's quite tightly wound, a tough sell, giving little away. Possibly I have gone too early? Anyway, a solid enough wine on the darker fruit spectrum, but not one that merits the price of close to £40, it's just not interesting enough. Nice aromatics of cherry and forest floor, but that is about it.
