Tasted blind and guessed a Chablis, which goes to show that these Basque wines need a super hot year to ripen! Nonetheless this one was great with a fresh citrus nose and a super mineral, acidic (in a fresh lemony way) and a salty edge.

Wild, touching, unique (lemon flavours), long, profoundly mineral, full with smoke, just great - probably something for adventure-lovers

- Yellow color with medium forming legs and aromas of diacetyl (butter) and geranium. It's in total harmony and has flavours of lemon, pineapple, honey and sherry with a medium body. Bright texture with a long finish.

How can you stop drinking this wine?! So good. A little different style from the 2010 with a small touch of oxidative notes and broader. Still there's an incredible energy and acidity lifting the entire palate. Lemon notes with a bare hint of pineapple and almond. A touch of wood but very discreet. Rich wine but so well balanced that that richness is somehow subtle. Great wine.

Gros Manseng with Petit Manseng blend. Lemon in colour with fully developed, oxidative in style nose offering apple, minerals and herbs. Elegant in palate with energetic acidity and medium + finish. Shows some complexity together with freshness in palate.

Les Caves de Pyrene - France, The South West (White) (Guildford, United Kingdom) : A small six-hectare domaine entirely planted on south-facing terraces. Michel and Thérèse practise sustainable viticulture throughout their vineyard & use biodynamics in particular on the plot where they grow white grapes. The Hegoxuri, made from 70% Gros Manseng, 20% Petit Manseng & 10% Petit Corbu, given a forty hour maceration & partially fermented in barrique, is remarkable from it's golden straw colour, to its subtle nose …
