Domaine Laroche Chablis Les Chanoines

In Brasserie Posten, Geiranger. Bright, citrus fruit, touch of mineral, decent depth, lovely crisp, tangy acidity, good length finish. Excellent village level classic style Chablis, drinking well.

Started out thin with little fruit and lots of acid. Left in fridge overnight, it opened up and became more balanced, fruit more present and acidity better integrated.

I am quite surprised to already see 2023 Chablis. Oh well, let’s see about the vintage if this is any representative. It has green apple on the nose, lemon zest, and quite a lot of white peach. A little white pepper. There is a lot of buttery notes, MLC shows more than it usually does in Chablis. On the palate, it has medium acidity which seems citric makes me suspect acidification.
