Passed it prime, but I thought it would be undrinkable. Still decent fruit with a hint if oxidation and nuttiness at the front. Enjoyable nonetheless.

This is definitely past its prime. Try a newer vintage because it was great before it got too old.

- Garnet color and aromas of mushroom, oak and black currant. It's unbalanced and has flavours of mushroom, oak and black currant with a medium/full body. Round texture with a medium finish - Very Nice Wine - it is just the Right time for this Wine

31 months since last bottle. Probably on the downward slide. Grenache and Carignan give a soft and rich burst of dark fruit (black cherry and blackberry),tar and roast and the syrah adds a bit of spice. Little tannin structure, but quite pleasant. Probably on the downhill run but a bargain in its day. 15% alcohol.

Started off seeming a little pruney/raisiny. After a bit of time in the glass, began to show some greater balance, elegance. This may be a 90.. I'll see when I finish the other 1/2 of the bottle tomorrow. Day 2, this showed more integration, was smoother and more enjoyable to drink

Revisited a bottle of this and I just love it. After pop and pour, in reverse order ... the finish has dusty vegetable, "dull matte" licorice/herb, and a scored, used oak taste that's just wonderful, I can't get enough of it. Back into the mid-palate the same vegetal, licorice, and oak wrap around slightly sour just-ripe fruit (I got raspberry, plum, maybe blackberry). Nose is same as my previous take, ie., spicebox, sugar, day-old bread, fruit, earth. The QPR on …

Complex nose with hints of cinnamon, clove, sugar, fresh bread or yeast, red fruit, mineral, and earth. In the mouth intense, acidic, but not big sour just-ripe fruit. Short finish of fruit and perhaps earth. I may return to buy a bottle.

Very pretty, dark red, with sediment. Raspberry, blueberry, and spicebox on the nose. Very tasty fruit - blackberries, cherries, plums; good acid, sweet tannins, some heat, and a medium finish. Really good, except for the slight burn from the alcohol.

I'm liking this bottle better than the previous two, probably because of the age. I already liked the other two. This is both softer and more nuanced. Today, there's just tons of blueberry on the palate, flowers on the nose, and medium weight on the body. Very cool beans!

This is one of those delicious provencal wines that you just can't get enough of. You just drink it with your meal without analizing and breaking into components. Beautiful dark fruit with herbs de Provence.

Really nice. I have forgotten how nice a wine can be without oak. Smelled like a liquorish/blackberry liqueur. Long, subtle dark fruit flavors with a touch of black pepper. Became more jammy over time. Would have scored 90+, but just too hot.

Begins with notes of pomegranate and slight raspberry and you can definitely sense the 14.5% on the nose. This is a big wine, or at least initially it is. On the palate though it doesn't overwhelm as might be expected. I sense a bit of the typical Languedoc resin note, though other tasters didn't; all agreed on some dark cherry and pepper (though the white pepper v. black pepper escaped us all). While it seemed bold on the nose, it's …

{ST} Dark red with purple hues, medium body. Bouquet of red and black berries, flowers, white pepper. Taste of cherries, mocha, coffee, and a bit of licorice. Medium-plus acid, medium soft tannins. Overall a smooth fruity blend of grenache, syrah, and carignane that is fairly well balanced. I liked it, but not enough depth or character to spend 15 on it. I suppose it's drinking right at its price point.

Deep purple with a touch of red and clear. The nose was very pure black fruit with a little charcoal. Blueberries , black berries and cassis. Cream and cola. A little alcoholic on the nose. The palate is very soft and rounded with blueberry pie filling and raspberries. Cream soda. Very slight tannins. Seems like this way might be on the way down off it's peak. A little too round and polished for me.

Darker tanish purple. Dark fruit on the nose. I think this is pretty well intergrated and I do not get much heat. There is a lot of moss, meat, and wood (like charred wood) to the body. Good value.

Mr. Parker called this medium bodied. If this is medium bodied, you muist have to sccop full bodied wines out of the bottle. Over-oaked (considering the modest price, chips or saw-dust?), over-ripe, low acid, and lacking varietal character. Could have been any grapes coming from anywhere. Unfortunately, I bought two. One will be gifted.

Earthy, grassy, yeasty and meaty notes on the nose. The palate is full, silky and supple yet not overly concentrated and definitely not tiring. Alcohol is very present on the finish. I would've given it a couple more points if the alcohol would've been more toned down.

No problem at all with this for 13 bones. The bouquet reveals lots of prune, and the syrah adds some spice. Not a ton of complexity, but a nice easy drinker. (No decanting, just popped and poured).

Decanted for 5 hrs. In a under $15 price range (which is difficult at best) this wine shows excellent QPR. Very good fruit purity along with a great finish make this a $13 wine to get excited about.....went great with grilled burgers and portobello focaccia. I have to agree with RP on this one. 90
