Tasty little white wine from France's Loire Valley. 85% Sauvignon Blanc and 15% Chardonnay. Crisp, clean, and citrusy with a hint of mineral. A little heavier than a Sancerre but the blend of grapes adds interest and depth. Only 12% alcohol, so an easy sipper. Good acidity, so great with fish. Would purchase again. Great QPR.

Color - bright, light, pale straw Nose - lemon, light citrus, pear, green apple, light floral. Mouth - smooth bright and crisp, beautiful light acidity, lemon and peach notes Really great wine, easy to drink with excellent balance.

Cat pee and herb, a sense of concentration, mineral, has a smell of richness or power, maybe Chardonnay? Now, just open a bit, more candied green apple fruit, less cat pee. In '92 the appellation got its AOC, the soil here is different then the bother big four SB from the Loire. Apparently the big reason to add Chard is because it was a marketing trick. Obviously a much simpler wine than the Pavelot but, with its vibrant nettles and grapefruit, it showed the verve and excitement that the grander wine lacked

My first Cheverny, I was surprised as I anticipated a wine similar to Touraine or Sancerre. This is more aromatic than Sancerre, less minerality and more tropical fruits elements, crisp acidity and light to medium body.

I like the splash of chardonnay in here, it rounds out the wine and keeps it from being to sharp. Still tastes like classic Loire Sauv Blanc, but with a hint of fruit to keep it approachable.

12% alc...nose of super sharp grass, lemons, sharp is the word that keeps coming to mind, lemongrass, fresh raw green beans, a light blend of peach and pears - in a amazingly great way, invigorating lively nose...same experience on the palate, minerality, some tannin - almost chalky, ridiculous acidity, sour but crispy, wow. I am impressed @ $16.00...

i am very much a novice with loire whites but am working hard to change that. this is my first cheverny and it seems more tart and less rich than what i've tasted from sancerre and muscadet. by it self thin, acidic and lemony but with cheese and crackers was very good.

Delicate grapefruit aromas. Immediately pleasing on the palate. A ripeness, alongside a précis old world frame. I have had this wine in different vintages, and while its always been good, this is REALLY good. Great QPR at 15.99.
