Drinking well with cherries, cocoa, a bit of earth. Fully integrated medium tannins/acidity.

Nice red cherry throughout, moderate length. Good but not overwhelming acidity, which I sometimes get from traditional Sangiovese and soft tannins. This is drinking quite well at the moment, and should for some time yet.

Alcohol integrated nicely and this wine is just a tasty display of juicy, dark red berry fruits, spices and toasty oak.

PnP, and had with home made pizza. Wow!!!!Wine is in its sweet spot right now drinking beautifully. Modern style, takes the sour cherry of Sango, and wraps it in some dark chocolate. Excellent acidity. Best bottle I have had in a while. Iron fist wrapped in a chocolatey velvet glove. Delicious...Mrs. Coupe also thought it great. Only bad thing is that it was my last bottle. Repeat to self, try to exercise self control and hold onto your Kaella orders …

Brought to a cocktail aprty. Only had a bit, but this is drinking very well right now. Cherry and spice, and tasting real nice. Mrs. Coupe was raving about it.

Big tasty red fruit on this with a hint of spice.. I'd say it's a fairly crowd-pleasing style, though I found the alcohol to be a bit much on the palate.

Popped and poured. Dark purple color with a nice bright core. Candied cherry on the nose along with a touch of vanilla and spice and a little heat coming through as well. Exotic spices on the palate with sweet red fruit flavors and some oak notes but also a bit of heat coming through on the tail end. This is a big wine but didn't have the acid that I traditionally look for in a sangiovese. Still quite tasty and …

Extremely dark with just a hint of purple-red at the rim, the nose on this is full of bright red fruit with a bit of surprising white flower and some vanilla. There is a fair amount of candy-like sweetness on the nose, but it is nicely balanced by some spice. The palate is big and full, and, like the nose, begins with a sweet red fruit attack. It is plenty tannic on the mid-palate, though, and has some astringency that …

PnP, had with pasta course of Palm Sunday dinner. Cherry and spice (maybe cinnamon), fruit is clean, prominent, and in the forefront. Could not believe this was over 15% alc, it hid it very well. Nice acidity which gave it some structure. Very good effort and it went well with the pasta and sausage, and something I would definitely buy and drink again. Just lacking that last oomph to make it outstanding

Very easy drinking wine there's a definite deliciousness to this. Cherry red licorice, tart cherry and some cinnamon nose. Cherry, vanilla, cinnamon and just a hit of the licorice. Finish is medium. The alcohol showed a little more on this bottle, but it's drinking very nicely. I would not hesitate to pop another but the next one will be my last. Drink over the next 2-3 years.

Uh-oh. A little seepage around the capsule. Underneath the capsule is a soaked and soft cork. Removal of the cork shows a clear flaw running right up the side of the cork - effectively a channel for wine and oxygen to mix freely. I could give my impressions, but this wine, while perhaps still just barely drinkable, is prematurely oxygenated and not representative. Rats. Not rated.

Opened this wine and paired with grilled filets. First off, this is different in style from other Sangios I've had. This wine delivers big juicy cherry fruit, red licorice, and a touch of spice. The fruit is mouth coating, and there's great acidity, easy drinking tannins, and a peppered cherry finish that is medium in length. This is such an easy drinking wine for its alcohol 15.3%, not a touch of heat and the oak is well integrated. Great wine …

I doubt I would guess sangiovese if tasting this blind. Quite big and powerful. Black cherry, plum jam, blueberry, a little earth, clove, and a hint of cedar on the nose. Tart red cherry, black cherry, blackberry, a little cocoa powder, and vanilla on the palate. Hides the 15% alcohol quite well. Good acidity and good finish. Tasty. Needs some time. 89-90

Admittedly opened early and with a fairly short decant - didn't know what to really expect from WA Sangiovese as I don't have much (read: any) experience with it. Found the color to be very vibrant, the fruit to be red (cherry) and very bright. Definitely a new world interpretation, but I could see some similarity to it's Italian cousins. Tasted great with Thanksgiving leftovers. Seems like it will drink well young with a little decanting. Very tasty. 89-90.
