I was so pleasantly surprised by this. It really captured the essence of what I expect from a very good Sauternes; There was so much intensity in particular, but also extensive and deep racy fruit. Better than most Sauternes I've had. The age shows, to the extent that everything is fully resolved and comes together. This has more years ahead of it. Makes me want to visit the winery again.

100% Semillon.Huge aromas of apricot, honey, nutmeg, pralines, orange , pear and vanilla bean. Similar flavors. A long, smooth finish with apricot, honey, caramel.

Deep reddish amber color. Cedar and leather notes on the nose. Unusual but not unpleasant. Full bodied with excellent balance. Not at all cloying like some dessert wines. Butterscotch and vanilla with a long finish if not complex. Very enjoyable. Have had only a few Sauternes but this definitely fits the style.
