I continued to be amazed at how well this wine is aging. Never would've assumed 8 years into bottling it would still hold the vast smokey, peppery nose and tight, structured body of raspberry and bell pepper. A very complex NZ pinot. Highly recommend.

A very pleasant NZ Pinot Noir. Notes of cherries, mushrooms and prosciutto on the palate. A warm and rich wine. Still has a couple of years left of good drinking.

Nice sour cherry and a grounding earthiness. Seems to fit the classic New Zealand Pinot profile from what I've observed. Very tasty. Only off-putting aspect was a heavy aroma of home perm on the nose which took the whole first night to blow off. Less of that on night two, thankfully.

Lots of fruit followed up by oak / cedar. A little too much wood for my taste.

Unscrewed and poured. Brick red color, clear. Strong cherry nose, with a hint of strawberry and oak. Very soft, smooth mouthfeel with low tannins. Long finish. Cherry flavor, but not overly fruity, with some hints of oak, but not overdone. Fairly well balanced, no alcohol burn. Hard to believe that this was a $9 PN from NZ. Great QPR, very simple, but solid appealing effort. Would definitely buy more, although this may not be a wine to age more than …

Consistent with previous bottle. Really noticed the juicy freshness this time too. Oh the consistency of screw caps!

What a nice little wine, decent Pinot Character. Acidity and fruit are its strong points, as well as some good pinot character. Nothing mind blowing but for $9, solid value. Color: Burgundy core with rose edges, starting to fade Nose: Some flowers, strawberry and cherry, nice Pinot fruit nose. Palate: Some earthy cherry, sweet cranberry and strawberry-rhubarb. I love the juicy acidity....superb value! Blows away the oak laden, under $20 crowd of generic Cali Pinot Noir.

An exceptional value if you are looking for a pinot that you can afford to drink every day. Great from beginning to end. Try not to leave overnight. Every time I left one I really did not enjoy the next day. Even with using a Vacu-vin pump.

Fairly deep red. Smoky plum and sour cherry aroma with touch of tomato nad rosemary. Bright sour cherry, rhubarb with touch of oaky smoke and creamy vanilla strawberry finish. Great stuff for the price. Totally case worthy!

Medium brown. Barnyard on the nose. Dark cherries and meaty tasting. Simple, but burgundian. Good QPR.

Largely as before. Nice flavors of strawberries, raspberries, and rhubarb with some thyme and oregano herbs in the mid and finish. There was some oak and alcohol burn more noticeable on the finish than for previous bottle. This delivers pinot qualities quite well for sale price of 9.

Light to medium bodied, no frills Pinot, but great for the price. Nice red fruit, bright acidity, and light tannins make this a great weeknight drinker.

Served this blind to spouse and she commented how much she enjoyed it. As for me I fully expected it to be crap for 8 bucks, but was very pleasantly surprised. Clack and pour. Color dirty ruby with some purple tones. Nose of straw-raspberries, cinnamon, a little bramble and cedar. Straightforward pinot-typical fruit on the palate, with medium depth and a fairly short finish. Albeit simple, the flavors here are quite good. On night 2 the bouquet took on some …

Great pinot. Didn't wow me, but very good nonetheless. Bright fruit on the nose, and very similar on the palate. The tannins are integrated well. Good everyday pinot.

This is some of the purest (and simplest) pinot noir that I've had in awhile. Very bright fruit zings out at you. The wine lacks a lot of complexity, but the price and the directness of the flavor make this a wine I would consider for mid week dinner, esp in the backyard during the summer.
