Perfectly okay for a California-style Chardonnay, but for me a little heavy-handed with new oak. Well within tasteful limits for the style, but I think Dehlinger has done better.

Pear, citrus and butter flow from this Dehlinger Chardonnay that has really nice acidity to it. Great QPR on this one.

Pale yellow in the glass with pear, citrus and apple on nose. Citrus, apple and mineralogy on the palate. High acid and medium body. Long finish.

Nose: fresh pear/apple and a bit of citrus, cultured butter/buttered brioche, baking spices, and wet rock. On the palate the lemon citrus profile comes through much more pronounced. High acid with rich texture from the lees and malo, and subtle tannins hiding behind all that. A touch hot on the finish which I’m not surprised by b/c the abv is 14.2%. Overall very well made. A pleasure to drink.
