Seems a bit rough and out of sync, maybe past it’s prime. Still very solid, good nose from the petit verdot and body of a malbec.

Had two bottles, both stored the same way. The first one was pretty much undrinkable. Just sour red fruit and some harsh flavors on the back end. Not sure if was oxidation, reduction, or what. Either way, there was definitely bottle variation because the second bottle was pretty good. Still probably past its prime, but some nice, subtle, dark fruit, with some structure remaining.

From Magnum. My last bottle. Time has served this wine well but do not think it will improve from here - so I would drink in next couple of years if you have any left. Great big red and black fruits, very balanced, medium long finish.

Decanted for 2 hours and it has great balance and very smooth finish. Wish I had more.

Pulled this bottle on a whim and it was outstanding. Great non traditional bleat with the petite Verdot and Malbec. My wife would not stop talking about how great this wine tasted. Very impressed.

From magnum. Almost 2 years since my last bottle and time is helping this wine. Dark berries. vanilla, nice balance.

Very nice blend, the Merlot, Malbec and Petit Verdot worked well together. It really opened up after a couple hours in the decanter. I could definitely taste black fruit and vanilla with integrated but not overpowering tannins. This wine was great now but should last a few more years. I wish I had another bottle.

Enjoyable cali blend. Well integrated - not overpowering - not a fruit bomb. Would definitely drink again.

Very nice blend. Took some time to open up. Black fruit and licorice. Well balanced. The tastes are in harmony. My first Krupp wine and I like it!

This is not a booming Napa fruit bomb (which I like by the way). It is elegant and soft - yet it has enough structure to dry your palate just a little. A very solid wine. Smaller than a cab, more fruit than the French. Sort of like baby Opus One.

Drank at Wolflicks after an hour plus decant. Good ripe fruit that integrated well over the following hour or two.

Great bottle of wine. Liked it better as it continued to open up so I recommend a decant. This wine is big but still a little young and will do well with cellar time.

D.C. Dinner for Greg Golec (Toscana Cafe - DC) : This was decanted about 90 minutes prior to service. Heavy oak, heavy dark fruit...just a heavy, dense, sluggish wine. I don't get it.

From a 375. This was a very impressive wine. Somewhat restrained upon opening, with rich Napa fruit. As it developed in the glass, the blueberries and cassis came out, and then some interesting leather and anise. I saved a half glass in the bottle for the next day as an experiment, and when I repulled the cork, the aromatics exploded from the bottle. Absolutely top notch cab. I'd recommend decanting at this point though.

A .375 decanted a half hour. A bargain for the $15 paid for it. Good mountain fruit, drink or hold.

right out of the bottle I really liked this. Let it mellow in the glass with a vinturi experience and it became a welcome houseguest. nose: rose, sweet and sour berry, pencil lead, a little grass, some anise palate: vanilla, cedar, pencil shavings (guessing: if I ever tasted them), great tannins with an acid chaser, dried sour cherries, cranberry, lavendar it's crisp, it's tart, it's heavy...it's the kind of wine I'm glad I have 3 more bottles of...wish I bought …

Saturdays at One - Volume 43 : WIML90 Tasted non blind. Purple color in the glass, clear looking throughout. Nose of tobacco, currants, soapstone and plums. Flavors of plums, currants, raspberries and black berries. Medium acidity, medium to firm tannins. medium to full bodied. Drink now with some air time or over the next 2-10 years.

Bargains vs. Big Boys (Farpointe Cellar) : A very earth-driven nose of wet dirt, crushed rock, and roasted herbs. The red fruit come on towards the end, and are very sweet. The palate flavors are the same as the nose, but the tannins are a bit harsh.

I drank this from a 375ml whle on holiday in Dallas. With a large New York strip it made perfect sense. Very smokey and rich, but not over-sweet, which is usually my problem with some cabs from Napa. A little bitter chocolate with hints of pine needles and fennel slip into a soft medium+ finish . Not hugely complex but some honest, quality fruit. Really enjoyed it (well right up to the moment the waiter stepped on the overly long …

Dark berries, oak, decent structure, typical napa but not over the top. Bit hot for my taste. Overall nothing special at this point but give it time to strike a balance.

I have had this several times and it keeps getting better and better. We enjoyed at Fearing's in Dallas...requested that it be decanted upon arrival so it was opened at least 90 minutes before we go to it....terrific fruity presence up front with cassis and blackberries, great mouthfeel and finish...this is a quality bottle of wine!

A bit of smoke with some dill on the nose. Light to medium entry of sweet, dusty currant. OK, although a bit lean.
