Stood up for several weeks and decanted off sediment. Now 2.5h after decant. Aromas of earth, bark, forest floor, tart blackberries and red cherries. Palate w bright blackberries, earth, black cherries, herbs, and bark. Hints of flowers on the nose and palate which are always prominent in its youth. Medium to full bodied w excellent acids and mild tannins on midpalate. Just beginning to get some aged characteristics but still primary in many ways. Wish I had more to follow …

PnP. Now open for 3 hr. A-Ripe red cherries, a bit of kirsch, a hint of candied fruit P- Just ripe red cherries, earth, a hint of tar, minerals, herbs, pine needles, tannins on mid-palate to end. Nice medium-full bodied weight w nice acids. F- fruit, acid, earth and minerals on a lingering finish. Still really young. Would have been interesting to see this bottle 10 yrs from now.
