HDH auction tasting at Tru (Chicago, IL) : A very nice note of almonds on the nose. The palate is quite sweet with some interesting candied fruit character. Bracing acids, with some chalkiness that settles on your teeth. There's just a slight hint of sweetness as well on the palate thanks to some riper fruits. This seems to straddle the line between the oxidative and fresher styles... if anything, I wish this would make up its mind.
