Perhaps the worst bottle of the year. I am sorry but this way to jammy and has way too much residual sugar for a pinot noir. I guess it can pair well with a burger or sweeter food but really not my jam!

Very extracted fruit, like a fruit bomb. Developed well in the glass just not our style, so it is a sell.

40th Anniversary Magnum Party; 6/3/2017-6/4/2017 (R&D's) : From magnum, leftover from the prior night. Aromas of cherry, spice, red plum and potpourri. Flavors of baked cherry and spice. I like this slightly more tonight than last night. 90+ pts.

40th Anniversary Magnum Party; 6/3/2017-6/4/2017 (R&D's) : From magnum. Raspberry and cherry with hints of earth/clay underneath. Medium-bodied. Baked cherry, raspberry and nutmeg flavors. Definitely a bigger style, but at least this one tastes like a pinot instead of syrah, which is my biggest problem with most Peter Michael pinots.

4th Saturday Group brown bagger (R&D's) : Double blind. Aromas of cherry, herbs and spice with blue fruit undertones. Not as "big" on the palate as one expects based on the bouquet, this is on the lighter side. Flavors of currants, black raspberry, red plum and pepper. It's somewhat generic though and it's hard to identify what it is or where it is from. I think Mrs. TLV was the only one to identify this as pinot.

Friday Night Double Blind Semi-Mondo $80+ (Bin 75) : Opaque core with light red rim; dark cherry, liqueur, cinnamon, plum; slight candy, sweet, cherry, soft, dense, heavy, too rich, cola, wild berry, warming finish; not a fan of this "Pinot"; should have gone SLH on the domestic Pinot call.

Good, solid bottle. Decanted about 30 minutes. Nothing overly exceptional but nothing underachieving either. Medium body and taste. Good flavors and great texture.

Disappointing, subdued compared to other wines from the Pisoni Vineyard. Very concentrated, but not the bright, lush character these grapes are capable. I'm not sure age will improve the situation

Rich, full body, in every way a California Pinot. Didnt decant this but I think a short decant - 30-45 mins would be helpful at this stage. Wine only got better over the 2 hours we drank it.

tasted non blind versus 08 sea smoke 10 and sqn covert fingers. certainly the most feminine of the flight. wonderful soft tones of strawberry and perfume and hints of floral notes. palate was weakest of the three (as expected by me anyway) but still a nice feel. red berries, some flower and very mild vanilla undertones. finish was smooth but a little short.

This might be one of the best Piont's I've tasted in a long time.. Garnet ruby in color, low viscosity, beautiful aromatics of dark cherry, maple syrup, red fruits! Pisoni Vineyard never disappoints...

Maverick Wine Company Peter Michael Tasting (Sixteen - Trump International Hotel - Chicago) : A ridiculously tasty wine. This is all one could ask for in terms of New World cult Sonoma Coast Pinot. Gorgeous nose. It's expansive and really creamy. Feminine, perfume, floral, game, spice, earth, vanilla, oak. YES. Some gorgeous strawberry play and a light smoked meat aroma that I love doused in medium dark raspberry pancake syrup. A little candied and heavier fruit - but it remains …
