Just OK. Not much going on. No decant.

It's inky purple in color with very dark fruit and leather and cigars on the nose. Big tannins, yet not overwhelming. Long smooth finish.

Cork fouled, a bit dry despite appropriate storage. Initially some tree rubber and earth. This took about an hour to come to life with simple bottle aeration. Nose of black currant, baked earth, and some dried broad leaf tobacco. Cedar and oak overpower the black fruit palate. Finish was moderately long, clove and cedar spiced blackberry with talcum fine tannins, moderate oak. This was about at it's last stretch; DRINK NOW, not much left here. 86/B- = 50/5/12/8/8/3

Hmmm. Intended to take to dinner. Opened for about an hour. Gave it a taste. Not sure I'm enjoying this. Opted to drink a glass at home and take a different bottle of wine to the restaurant Not as rich and enjoyable as I remember from previous bottles. My last bottle - perhaps that's a good thing.

Hard to describe at first, dark, inky in color. Intense black fruit favors, some tobacco, very hearty wine, needs air and it gets better.

Aromas of red raspberries, a little smokey cedar, and some garden herbs. Full bodied and luscious on the palate. Dark fruit comes out on the mid palate with really nice acidity. More spiced cedar on the finish with another dose of herbs. The wood is well done here, being complimentary, not overbearing. Goes well with a giant piece of meat fresh off the grill.

I savored the wonderful balance of black currant, anise, and smokey leather flavors. The Cuvee 65 was concentrated, complex, and had a long, pleasant finish. A truly special wine!

Took me a while to rate this wine. Big, bold, powerful and full bodied. Poured through Vinturi. Immediate nose of eucalyptus with cedar, oak and tobacco to follow. Big acid structure, gripping tannins that last forever. Drank by itself with some wine crackers. Got six at $19.99, need to put some in the back of the EuroCave and wait five years to see what happens. Unique wine, lots of fun to rate!

You know what, on second take I decided that this is a profoundly weird drink. An exceptionally dark and full bodied wine the features all red fruits (cheeries and other berries) and oak with a butt load of spice. Not a food wine in the least, but very intriguing nonetheless. Note - jonradus hits this one right on the head. It is lilke he an I had the same wine and everyone else had something else. I just liked it …

How do you know when a wine is good? We're not sure, but we know when we're enjoying it, and that's when it's impossible for us to not finish the bottle. http://ph.ly/Yn

Pretty delicious in the normal Cali Cab way. The oak did not overwhelm and despite its dark color, tasted a tad lighter than I expected. Not in a bad way. Had with Kim with Manchego, goat, and sheep's milk cheeses. Prosciutto, apples, fig jam and olive oil. Best with Manchego and prosciutto combo.

Pittsburgh-Blind Napa Cabs (La Cucina Dolce) : Tasted blind--Full bodied, lots of strong dark fruit flavors, cedar and spice. Very strong long lingering finish with some different flavors surfacing. When this wine was revealed I was happy to see that I tasted it before and also gave it a high rating with consistent notes. A very good buy at $35.

PAWineTalk.com Tasting Number 8 - Napa Cabs (blind) : Tasted blind. Very dark inky purple. Nose is decadent with rich black fruit, oak, licorice and a smidgen of mint. Massive amounts of deep dark fruit and anise in the mouth So thick you can chew it with a finish that lasts a country mile. My WOTN.

This is the third bottle of this I've tried. The first two were not the greatest and had an unripe, green, roasted vegetable smell to them. This bottle, however, showed immense fruit, powdered sugar, and cherry plum (almost raisiny) on the nose. It's got an almost portlike, minty zest to it. The flavor expands into a zesty, cherry, explosive (almost pop-rocks like) fruit, and funnel cake with a zip to it. The finish lasts for a good 30 seconds and …

Big, bold, powerful and satisfying. Sixty-five months in oak, but yet well balanced, rich and lasting. Dark fruit, anise and spice supported by strong tannins. So thick you can chew it. A finish that lasts and lasts.

Decanted two hours, considering the aged barrel time (65 months) I thought it may be overoaked but it wasnt. Big, full bodied, rich concentrated fruit, mostly dark fruit, with cedar and some spice. More dark and ripe then oaky. Acidity is fantastic and gripping tannins pull it all together for a long, long finish. This wine is powerful and heavy duty although the fruit may be considered over ripe for some people. I liked it most after 2-3 hours. New …
