Burgundy-esque reduction meets Jura-like apple notes with some salty minerality. On day 2 showing more lemon curd and cream. Medium, bordering on medium plus acid with a long finish dominated by the aforementioned notes. Believe the hype, this is great. Its own thing, so don’t want to be reductive, but it can be seen through the lens of Burgundy X Jura Chardonnay.

Shock decanted and enjoyed over 3 hours. Light & cloudy yellow. On nose intense blue cheese, hazelnuts, struck matches and other reductive notes. Just a touch of oak, spontaneous fermentation aromas, yellow fruits (lemon, apple, some unripe tropical fruits), smoke. On palate, it is high acidity, very good salinity, right creaminess, low alcohol, very good length. I've been able to fool my buddies into Burgundy (even more than village level burg) with this. Mildly hazy gold color. Decanted. Now almost 3 hr after decant. Sunday shy aromas with barely ripe golden delicious apples, herbs and minerals. Palate w tart apples, herbs, minerals, a bit of green stems. Medium body with excellent acids and nice energy. Moves toward lemon and on back end. Nice finish of tart apples, lemons, minerals and herbs. This is so young and yet also really delicious. Wish I had more to follow this with age bc I think this …
