Salem Wine Company Pinot Noir Rosé

This is an excellent Rose. More fruit (just ripening strawberry and raspberry) than I expected given other’s notes, but also a nice minerality and a touch of salinity. I’ll add this to the rather small group of Roses that I seek out.

Tasted at the Evening Land Vineyards tasting room. This is a light salmon color with low to moderate acidity. Easy to drink and not overly fruity. Almost bone dry with some strawberry and raspberry and pretty short on the finish. I didn't find this very interesting or nuanced or very complex but then again I'm not a huge rose fan.

This may be one of my favorite rose's. There isn't an overwhelming "ruby-ness" in any way. Careful not to drink at too cold a temperature as the subtle savoriness of the terroir is not expressed until at a more relaxed drink temp.

Nice fresh expression with raspberries and some lime acidity. Slightly one dimensional but fresh wine for warm summer days and it has great acidity.

Clean, crisp, and piercing. Serious substance and depth and featuring strong varietal elements. Juicy mouthfeel, great finish! 90-91.
