P&L Borgeot Puligny-Montrachet Les Meix

A very good Puligny-Montrachet. Decanted for a couple of hours and served at 10 degrees C. A perfect match with self caught Skrei (cod from Barents Sea). Mature now, but have one more bottle that I will keep for two more years! Subtle oak, well balanced acidity and minerals.

Pale golden colour.Medium nose with popcorn, ripe yellow apples, ripe lemon, butter, sea salt, wet stone, toast and toasted and roasted walnuts. Medium (+) taste of ripe yellow apples, ripe lemon, butter, sea salt, wet stone, toast, walnuts and charred wood.Long and dry finish.High acidity.Medium body.A very good and well matured Puligny-Montrachet with great depth and good balance.Needed half an hour in the glass to open up.Drink now or over the next couple of years.
