A delicious California Cabernet from an under-appreciated AVA for Cab. This wine strikes the optimum balance between fruit and savory notes and has matured exquisitely, showing a lot of secondary and tertiary complexity. The nose is a potpourri of prunes, dates, blood orange, sagebrush, and pencil shavings. Great balance on the palate, which melds juicy dark fruit and cassis with lots of savory influences of very fine dusty tannins, graphite, cedar, juniper and blood orange.
