Fratelli Vineyards Chardonnay Vitae Barrel Fermentation

Straits Wines - Fratelli Wine Dinner (Yantra) : An aroma that while somewhat strange, was familiar to me as similar to many other wines I had encountered back in my India days - very toasty, nutty, as if the barrel in which it was fermented in was overcharred, or even varnished. This varnishy feel extends to the palate, which was quite a distractor against the otherwise fairly fresh stone fruits. Not exactly my glass of wine
