PnP, but better after 15 minutes of slo-ox which allowed the wine to open and the funk to blow off. Lots of dark red fruits on the nose. The medium to plus bodied palate is filled with a combination of dark red, blue and black fruits, baking spice, and touches of pepper and earth. The tannins are fully integrated and the acidity is quite juicy but balancing. Could continue to hold, but no reason to wait to enjoy this fine …

Decantered for an hour. Nice color, rosy red. Lovely in the glass. Alcohol nose hit me strong. Sweet hints of blackberries, black cherries and oak. Very balanced, soft and on the sweet side. Personally I love these well balanced Grenache-Syrah wines. This wine is a favorite.

this wine is just perfect right now after a 2-3 hour decant. A great example of what Paso Rhones can be.

Another well made TH. Really hitting its stride right now. I would drink up, there is still at least 2-4 years left in this wine.

A really well made and delicious wine. But it is a SMG, not a GSM. Meaning the Syrah definitely comes through, but as a syrah lover, this is a great blend.

Excellent Paso Red Rhone Blend. This is from a terrific spot for these varietals, and these folks are just meticulous in their approach to farming and cellaring!

Classic TH GSM. Very good. Blueberry flavors. Great balance. 2 hour decant. Can drink now or can age. Always one of my Paso favorites.

Very nice, think the community tasting window has it about eight. Needed about 90 minutes decanting. Structure is not overdone at all, nose is fairly subdued. Medium bodied Syrah, more fruit than spice.

Nose of black cherries, cinnamon, violets, and leather. Similar tastes on the palate with the addition of the hint of rare filet mignon. Very balanced between the tannins and the alcohol. Drinking really well right now but should last several more years in the bottle.

Decanted for about half an hour and it continued to gain in complexity in the glass. This was delicious, a perfect wine to go wth a New Years Eve dinner.

In a really nice spot and not sure for how much longer. Flavors of dark fruit and earthiness with a silky texture. Has a little heat on the finish that diminished with exposure to air.

Dark ruby/purple color. Nose was subdued because I'd chilled it a bit too much but aromas of dark berry and dark chocolate found their way through. Full, luscious body. Flavors of dark berry, leaf litter and some savory quality I couldn't place. Moderately firm acidity and tannins make for a cleansing mouthfeel with a moderately long finish. Very good now, this will benefit from a few more years in the cellar.

Probably would have been better had I let it sit for a year or more, but it was still terrific. Bright fruit flavors, great nose, very good.

This is young but man, this is really drinking well. The texture is so thick and juicy, its really delicious. Great deep nose of black raspberries, black pepper and some grilled meats. Huge fruit on the palate, mostly black raspberries. Long finish. Just a delicious wine.

Easily one of the best Paso Syrah blends of the vintage. Hits a wonderful balance that makes it a more elegant wine than many of its peers. The finish has hints of bittersweet chocolate and leather that are a perfect complement the cassis fruit. So happy this isn't the last bottle in the cellar!

Opened and poured, would have been better decanted and with food instead of after. Still great berry fruit, earthy, and leathery. Holding the rest of my bottles for a couple of years.

One write up I read recently described this wine as concentrated and focused. This was my experience, too. This is definitely a wine to enjoy with game or similar dish. This is a well muscled wine the held strong for the 3 days it took me to finish it.

not decanted. the heavy black licorice was somewhat overpowering, but there was no heat, and the wine was plenty tasty. maybe a little over extracted, keeping it just less than the magic level. sometimes these special cuvees try too hard.

Dark purple color. Nose of black fruit and anise. Tastes of boysenberry, blueberry, raspberry, garrigue, tar, coffee and tobacco. Plenty of charred oak with tremendous structure. Reasonably well balanced with good acidity that keeps it from being over done. Nearly black in color. Nose of dark berry fruit with tobacco. Tastes of blackberry, raspberry, earth and tobacco. Posseses plenty of charred oak and firm tannins. Very full bodied. Good balance with very nice acidity that keeps this wine light despite its massive concentration and high alcohol. Seems a bit closed or shutdown and lacking the depth and complexity of past examples. Rich finish with good depth of fruit. Huge upside with some time. A blend of 57% Syrah, 29% …
