Completely different than the other wines. Elegant, filigree, powerful, peaches and apricot but damned Young. 96+

consistent with earlier bottles

Ap: dark golden yellow Ar: Mature ripe yellow fruits; Pineapple, lemon and a touch of Almond, Apricot and Durian. Clean and rather intensive. No petrol and rubber here yet. Medium bodied, lean and frontal acidity. Medium length with an intensive acidic grip at the end 50+5+12+15+6 Good value wine at maturity. Can be kept for a few more years w/o any problems; the acidity will see to that.

The best way to describe this wine is with a colour. It is beige - not even brown.

I have heard that 2007 is said to be a difficult year for this wine. Last time we had it, we thought the wine was flat. This time we liked it a lot better. Little fruit but full of herbs and tears/legs.

Developed color on this one. Nice notes of mature apples, stone and flowers. Just a hint of petro that quickly blows away with air. Good fruity flavour on the palate. Nice acidity to back it up and fairly balanced. 13 % ABV. Dry as a bone. Nice length. Will hold at least 5-7 more years.

Definitely a love or hate wine but if you are into Bernd Phillippi's type of Riesling this one does not disappointing. It's surprisingly open after a day in the fridge but of course there is still a lot of room for improvement in terms of complexity. At 10 euros, it makes sooo many other wines look horribly expensive. 91+

Had anotherone of this amazing Riesling over a meal with friends. It most other Rieslings to shame.

Wonderfully fresh, near ripe green apple smell just after uncorking, an hour into the open bottle, the smell completely changes theme into oaky licorice with the apples in the back. Nice dry, long lasting taste. Serve semi chilled and enjoy for a couple of hours to get the best experience. The best Riesling I've ever had.
