Rosa del Golfo, Rosato, Salento IGT

Veronellli cellar, excellent condition. Interesting to try a rose' of this age and in such good condition. Not a great wine for aging, however, and with the immediacy of fresh rose' being absent, it is just a good cold drink.

Damiano and his sister have really done a great job with the quality here - more so with respect to their reliably good (now very good) rosato. Lots going on with the nose, but the palate is where it really shines for me, offering juicy white, yellow and red fruits, with a clean mineral streak through the middle.
