This 2016 wine was had with prime beef and was still plenty tannic with good acidity and full bodied with an incredible finish. It will still be great for several more years!

Very soft, subtle floral aromas, almost hidden. Dark burgundy in the glass. Dark fruit flavors of blackberry and cassis and mocha on the long finish. Grippy tannins with solid acidity.

Lots to love here. Coffee, cocoa and spice, with voluptuous mouthfeel and a wide, peppery finish. But the sexiest attribute — a dusty middle that reminded me of Rutherford.

This wine had much more depth and complexity than I remember during the tasting/purchasing trip. Decanted. Very balanced. Cherries on the palate. Quickly taken over by chocolate and dry ash. Really great wine.

Stewart NOMAD Tasting (Yountville) : Of all the wines in the Nomad lineup, this was the weakest to me. It was lighter bodied and a bit greener, without the same level of purity or concentrated flavors. It showed plenty of red cherries and spice, with mostly red fruit framed around mineral driven core, but didn't deliver in the same way as the others in the lineup. That being said, it was certainly not a bad wine to drink, but at …

Stewart NOMAD Tasting (Yountville) : Expressive nose of violets, blackcurrant, wet stone, charred meat and earthy notions. Palate is full bodied and shows big pungent cedar, crushed stone and lots of deep mineral driven flavors. Mostly black and blue fruit show off good richness and hit slightly higher on the register/acidity than many of LPV counterparts. Finishes strong. Really chalky and unresolved at the moment, but lots of coiled up potential. 93+

Seems linear to me, and slightly flat although there are some good flavors of dark blueberry and cassis. Possible that with time, better integration, although not sure that may be the case. Will have to see....
