Red fruits and clove on the nose. Sour cherry on the palate. Herbaceous. High acidity. High tannins. Medium body. Medium minus flavour intensity. Butterscotch finish. Decent wine, good value.

The wine looks ruby colored. The legs are fast. There is no sediment in the bottle. It smells like raspberry and gooseberry. It tastes like cranberry, raspberry, stoniness and cinnamon. The body is medium. The wine has polished texture. The wine finishes long. The wine has high acidity.

The general quality is there and the price is low, but there is a lack of personality in this wine and the « Barbaresco » name is not really applicable. Deception.

This tastes like a Barolo, but like one put together by Dr. Frankenstein: all of the parts are there but without the grace or yumminess of a high-end Barolo. I would rather pay $10 more for something delicious.
