Hudson Vineyards Pick Up Sticks

This continues to be a great wine for the price and with a year of additional age has picked up some additional complexity. A lighter bodied grenache, with some nice herbal qualities, bright cherry fruit, and a light silky mouthfeel.

Not CC’s favorite - on the lighter side. Actually needs to open up a bit more. With fish/lighter fare this would be great

After bailing on the mess that was the '08 Revana cab - we popped open this bottle of easy drinking grenache based southern rhone blend from Hudson. By contrast it was fresh, lots of acidity with bright and zingy cherry fruit and herbs. As expected very enjoyable and highly quaffable.

A week in Napa for the Napa Valley Grape Growers Harvest STOMP party; 8/22/2017-8/27/2017 (Napa, CA) : Tasting visit at Hudson Ranch. 4th wine in the line-up and the first of the reds. A Grenache blend. Cherry and herbal flavors in a medium bodied wine, light and elegant on the palate with a nice herbal finish. As the previous taster noted, the light, bright color is reminiscent of Rayas. Great value.

W/ Christina and Lee Hudson. 80% Grenache with 15% Syrah and 5% Viognier, no new oak. Early picked Viognier for low sugar levels. Short 8-9 day maceration 'light color a la Rayas.' A lot to like here. Red berry to the aromas. Light tannin. 2 acres of Grenache at the Ranch, planted first in 1992. "For the drankin' not the thankin'." Great for BBQ. 160cs. Not unlike Morgan 12 Clones PN.
