Soft nose of fig paste, black currant, and chocolate covered cherry. Up front the flavors are more stern with dark leather notes, then it softly falls into a chocolate covered cherry palate. Tingling finish, pretty short. It's certainly not the best Bordeaux I've ever had.

Definitely more on the modern side. Lots of fruit.

This vintage impresses. Already in a good drinking state.

I like the old world bent to it, structured nicely.

With backbone, but also very modern.
