Beautiful wine. It's drinking well now. Elegant and fruity. It still has a nice acid backbone which would probably let it age a bit longer, but it's smooth and velvety now. Fully resolved. This is my first Beaux Freres, so I am not familiar with the house style, but I love this one. It's almost everything I would want in an OR pinot. The finish is a bit shorter than I'd like, but the rest of the elements are there. …

Opened about an hour before dinner, no decant. Dark ruby in the glass. There's musky floral notes along with red fruit on the nose. It's strawberries and rhubarb on the palate, with a bit of baking spice, bright, lifted, but it all comes together with lots of charm. Fine tannins. 13.9% abv covered. Definitely ready to drink. Second day note: bouquet is just exploding. Decant it if you have another bottle, which I don't.

A fabulous Oregon Pinot Noir. Went beautifully with Christmas Eve Norwegian meatballs and Finnish riisi piirakka. Light enough to not overpower the food but nothing wimpy about this wine. It must be at it’s height right now as I can’t imagine how it could possibly be better for such a pretty wine. Great fruit with just enough tannins for structure, good length on the finish. Opened about an hour before pouring.
