Opened at a Malbec blind tasting. 13 Malbecs poured it received 3rd place to Tikal Patriota 2013 and Luca 2007. A little earthiness and perfume on the nose. Black and blue fruit on the palate. No signs of age at all. Fantastic bottle. Too bad it was my last one.

Very interesting and Argentinian like. Full body with leather and ripe fruit on the palate. Enjoyable. Drink now-2020

Pepper everywhere. Mellowed over drinking window all notes balanced with pepper. The legs are medium. There is no sediment in the bottle. It tastes like tea, tobacco and stems.

Black pepper and dark fruit aroma. A little acidic imbalance. A mix of dark fruit and black pepper flavors. Decently long finish.

Wonderful peppery syrah. Deep garnet in the glass. Nose of blackberry and smoke. Rich blue and black fruit upfront wrapped in pepper crusted roast beef notes and cedar smoke. Full bodied wine with deep tannins. Need to eat something very rich with this wine.

Far too peppery. This was an unpleasant experience.

I wanted to hate this wine, I really did. I've had some amazing WA Malbecs in the past, but with this wine I thought, hey, when I tasted this wine at the release it was barely worth keeping. But then I opened it... and my God was it fantastic. Very dark color, varietally true, with an amazing nose of plum, black cherry, and raspberry, with a velvety mouthfeel and fruit galore. My only complaint is that it just didn't have …

A little spicy, but great balance between the fruit, alcohol, acid and oak. Not a ton of tannin, but some is there. Paired well with grilled steaks.

Not as good as I remember it from tasting at the winery. A little flat. Not much fruit compared to most Malbecs. Balance and taste were good, but otherwise pretty nondescript. I don't think I'd buy this one again.

Interesting blend where syrah highlights the dominant mourvedre earthiness. Interesting nose, some tannins lingering on palate - a wine for food

Bouquet is barnyard floor and smoke. Flavors of black pepper, cherry, and cedar.

Tasted at the winery. Uniquely strong pepper on the nose and the palate.

Beautiful spice and complexity from a CSM wine! Well worth the price point.
