Tasmania wine tour day three (Tasmania) : Lime, confected lime, lime peel, touches of lemon, honey, kerosene a factor here as well as some buttery creamy notes. Medium plus intensity acidity, plenty of texture, kerosene, oyster shell, muted citrus, slight honeyed and buttery notes. Hmm. Quite old school but aged well.

Tasmania Wineries Jan-12 (1) - Coal Valley (Coal Valley, Tasmania) : {screwcap, A$40} The bone dry riesling; musk and floral aromas, clean and somewhat restrained, precede a dry and crispy palate which does have a phenolic grape-skin quality to its texture. It’s light-medium bodied, but thanks to medium acid and fruit purity and blanace, manages a long finish. Nice effort.
