ADEA, Hawks View Vineyard Pinot Noir, Chehalem Mountains

Slight soapy, cherry cola, blackberry, dried tobacco leaves, Christmas spice nose. Creamy in the mouth, with a tart acidic kick. Black cherry, plum, blackberry fruit...sweet and somewhat overripe. Intense citrus spice acidty(added powdered acid?), dried florals/leaves, cola tingle. Kind of on the fence with this one. Tasty wine, nice earth tones....but the feel is creamy with overripe fruit....that seems doctored-up with acidity to balance it? Just seems a little "manipulated" imo. My wife opened yesterday. She is gone so I am finishing the bottle. Nose of dark bery. The initial taste is of cherry, cola, and spice. The tannins give this a great body and finish. I can't help but lick my teeth after each drink. Lovely finish. It seems dense/thick for an Oregon Pinot. Still one case left for hopefully the next 5 years, but probably will only last the next 2 years. This wine is in my top three …
