Cleaning up my Cellar Tracker and removing bottles we have already drunk; love this wine, it is consistently beautiful. Stone fruit on the front of your tongue with a perfectly dry finish. Just lovely.

Received a partial bottle from my Oenophile neighbor. 14.0% abv. Had a Glass with Chinese Chow Mein. Merry Edwards reputation for Sauvignon Blanc is well earned; close to the Pinnacle of SB winemaking. Like the 2014 I had occasion to sample previously, this is an Exceptional and Elegant wine! Opened and tasted o. its own. Then enjoyed with food (lemongrass chicken with vermicelli rice noodles, in case you were wondering.) Light straw color. Nose offers lemon peel and some unripe pear. Good bright lemon on the intro with kiwi and touch of grass. Nice mouthfeel with a bit of lanolin on the finish. Enjoyable. I think the age gave this a nice texture. 14% abv.

August 4 & 5, 2023 This leads with a grassy note, but the fruit takes over soon after. Bright, ripe grapefruit citrus quality with rich and ripe tropical fruit flavors like guava and passionfruit. Mouthwatering acidity and flavors that linger on the palate. No rush for well-stored bottles.

No formal note taken, was consumed alongside a 2016 ME Sauv Blanc. This was drinking wonderfully, great balance and intensity. Lucious tropical fruit on the palate with subtle butter notes, slightly creamy mouth-feel and a long finish. Drinking great today, but likely has another year or two of peak deliciousness.

This is an exquisite Sauvignon Blanc. Not your gooseberry/passion fruit style or grassy or grapefruity but a wine unto its own. I got flavors of white peach and barely ripe pear. Some honeysuckle on the nose. Just elegant and fun.
