Domaine Pavelot (Regis / Luc et Lise) Pernand-Vergelesses

A beautiful example of village-level Burgundy, with the whole woods there. You get fresh cherries from the trees, redcurrants from the bushes, and loads and loads of forest floor, mushrooms and dried leaves and gamy notes and barnyard. As the wine sits in glass, some richer aromas come out, and by the end there’s milk chocolate and raspberry (Brits can I get big ups for Terry’s chocolate raspberry, it’s kind of like that). Very enjoyable.
