Carini Furzivu Munti Sucu

Initially i was confused about this wine. It is an extremely complex wine that needs several hours to open. It comes at you from the minute it passes your lips and has a peppery flavor to it with a long finish.

I am conflicted. Red purple and dense. Very smooth and mouth filling with mint and cassis notes but finishes with an oversweet almost cough medicine flavor. I have two more so it will be interesting to see if the bottles are consistent.

The wine was incredibly complex with huge fruit and tannins which were manageable despite the 60+ months in barrel. A beautiful wine and an excellent example of a well made Bordeaux style blend.
